Alpheton Hall Barns Wedding- Amy and Tom

It’s that time of year where I finally can put the editing down and pick up the blogging where I left off…many months ago before the wedding season took over! I’ve been wanting to blog this wedding since the minute I stop shooting it as it goes in straight into my top three weddings (a top three that is pretty fluid I’ll admit as I shoot a lot of great weddings, but this one will be a mainstay for some time I think). I shot the wedding of Amy and Tom, held at Alpheton Hall Barns, back in April and it was great fun from start to finish. I’m struggling to think of anyone I’ve met that smiles quite as much or as wide as Amy. I assumed it was just her wedding day joy causing her regular beaming smile to appear, but her family and friends assured me that’s just Amy on a daily basis. As always I visited the bride in the morning to capture her getting ready with her bridesmaids and on this occasion it was my good friend and regular second shooter Sam that was hanging out with the groom, Tom, and his groomsmen.

Alpheton Hall Barns was a new venue to me and I am delighted to say I get to go back there in December again for another wedding, as the place is just awesome. The owner Nick is by profession a surveyor who works with listed buildings I believe, so who better to turn an old barn into a stunning venue. There’s clearly been a lot of thought gone into the conversion, even down to the inclusion of some pretty impressive lights, that made for some of the best dancing shots I’ve ever done. I also particularly loved that Amy and Tom had opted for banquet style tables; it is the less common set up for wedding breakfasts with most choosing round tables, and it created a lovely closeness and sociable atmosphere. Anyway, that’s enough waffling…check out the pics below..
