English Country Garden Wedding- Nicky and Tim

English Country Garden Wedding

DIY Garden Wedding Suffolk

Last year I had the pleasure of second shooting a beautiful English Country Garden wedding in Suffolk. I often second shoot for my good friend Charlie Campey who is a well established and talented wedding photographer himself. I enjoy my time second shooting immensely as it allows me to really step back and concentrate on capturing the magic candid moments that are so important to telling the true story of your wedding day.

We arrived early at the groom’s parent’s grand house and grounds in the Suffolk countryside. Tim, his brother, who was best man and his three ushers were busy with final preparations for the reception, but were very relaxed and enjoying the fine weather. After getting a few shots of the reception venue Charlie headed off to shoot the bridal prep and I was left with the boys, whom after some gentle persuasion from Tim’s parents decided it was finally time to get dressed and enjoy a quick pre-wedding beer in the garden.

Tim was fortunate enough to live within a short walk from the Church, so I walked with the groom’s party to the church in time to capture some excited guests arriving. After a beautiful service the entire wedding party walked from the church back to the reception and the celebrations commenced! It was a lovely English summer’s day and what better day for a Pimms on the lawn, before a beautiful meal, rounded off with live music in the evening. Tim’s father was very eager to show us a secret late night dancing spot under a huge canopy among the tall Oak trees, all lit with fairy lights and we can only assume they made good use of it and partied late into the night (well, way past our bed time anyway!).

Here are some highlight’s from the day..
