Marquee Wedding- Sian and Tom
DIY weddings are a big part of Suffolk wedding photography these days. They are becoming increasingly popular with more and more couples opting to have weddings at home or in a relative’s garden and with Suffolk boasting some truly beautiful and picturesque gardens, it’s easy to see just why they are becoming so popular.
Sian and Tom decided they wanted to have their wedding celebrations at Tom’s family home with all their close friends and family. They married a few days before at a registry office and then on the day had a celebrant come and perform a lovely and very personal service. Without the normal time constraints of the registry office, Sian and Tom chose to resurrect an old tradition during their ceremony called ‘the warming of the rings’ where by the rings are tied to a ribbon, passed round all the guests and when each guest holds the rings they bestow their best wishes for the marriage upon them.
After the ceremony the guests were seated for a Mediterranean meal of tapas and paella. After a fantastic meal and some funny speeches Sian and Tom snuck off for some photos while the guests were entertained by a very talented 20’s girl group. I’d seen several guests eyeing up the bouncy castle and it wasn’t long before the bridal party couldn’t resist joining the happy couple for a first ‘bounce’ on the wedding white bouncy castle, which yielded some funny photos and some impressive acrobatics from the groom!
