Oxfordshire Country Wedding- Katie and Ben

Oxfordshire Country Wedding

Katie and Ben are from Oxfordshire and met while at University in Cambridge. They married on a beautiful August day in Katie’s local church, St Giles, in Bletchingdon, followed by a reception in the gardens of family friends. Their theme was all things countryside with a hint of the Mediterranean.

On the morning of the wedding the sun was shining with not  a cloud in the sky. A perfect day for a wedding! We arrived at Katie’s parent’s house to shoot Katie and her bridesmaids being pampered by the hair and make up artist. Katie had given herself almost three hours to get ready and what a difference it made having so much time. Everyone was so relaxed and really enjoying the whole process. Half way through preparations everyone stopped for a lovely lunch and myself and Kate the other photographer were invited to join them. Never before has this happened but I must admit it was a lovely gesture from a lovely mother of the bride.

While all the bridal preparations were going on, Kate and I popped over to see Ben and his groomsmen who were adding the final touches to the reception venue. Again, never  a more relaxed groom has there been! Ben was all smiles in his boardies and flip flops!

The relaxed start to the day set the tone for the rest of the wedding and it was so nice to see everyone involved really letting loose and enjoying the day. It was a great day and a great wedding and Katie and Ben make the perfect couple. I wish them all the best….

Here are a selection of shots from the day…
